For vending route owners

Sell Your Vending Route to a Local Operator

Retiring, moving, or ready to step back? Lonestar Vending is a local, owner-operated company in Round Rock that buys vending routes in Central Texas. Start with a confidential conversation. There's no obligation, and you don't need any documents to begin.

Why sell to a local owner-operator

We're locally owned and owner-operated, so your route gets real attention instead of being folded into a national operator's system.

  • Your locations stay in good hands. The owner who buys your route is the one who services it.
  • Confidential from day one. We won't contact your locations or employees without your OK.
  • Straight talk. A written offer, a clear explanation of how we arrived at it, and no pressure.
  • Local and nearby. Based in Round Rock, so a hands-on transition is easy.

What helps (when you're ready)

You don't need any of this for a first conversation. It helps later, in the records review.

  • ✓Monthly sales history, ideally by machine or location
  • ✓A list of machines: make, model, age, and card readers
  • ✓Location agreements, written or verbal, and how long each location has been with you
  • ✓Commissions paid to locations
  • ✓Telemetry or card-reader sales reports, if you have them

How it works

  1. Step 1

    A confidential conversation

A no-obligation call about your route and your goals. No documents needed to start.

  2. Step 2

    Mutual confidentiality

We sign a confidentiality agreement before you share any numbers or location names.

  3. Step 3

    Records review

We look at sales, machines, and location agreements, with location names masked if you prefer.

  4. Step 4

    A written offer

A clear offer and deal structure in writing, with room to talk it through.

  5. Step 5

    A hands-on transition

We ride the route with you and meet your locations together, so they stay happy.

Questions sellers ask

How much is my vending route worth?

It depends on documented sales and earnings, how many locations are under written agreement, and the age and condition of the machines. Clean records and card-reader sales data make a route easier to value. We'll talk through our offer and how we got there. For valuation and tax questions, talk with your own CPA or financial advisor.

Will you contact my locations or employees?

Not without your OK. Conversations stay confidential, and locations are introduced only as part of an agreed transition.

What happens to my locations after the sale?

We ride the route with you and meet each location together. We're a local owner-operator, so the person they meet is the person who will service their machines.

What kinds of routes are you interested in?

We're most interested in routes in Round Rock and the Austin metro, including Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Leander, Hutto, Manor, Taylor, Liberty Hill. Snack, drink, combo, and smart cooler routes are all worth a conversation.

How long does it take?

It depends on how quickly records are available and the size of the route. We keep things moving and tell you plainly where things stand at each step.

Do I have to decide right away?

No. Reaching out doesn't obligate you to anything. Some owners start with a conversation a year or more before they're ready to sell.

Please note: Lonestar Vending is a vending company, not a financial institution, business broker, or advisor, and nothing on this page is financial, tax, or legal advice. Before selling, talk with your own CPA or financial advisor about valuation and taxes, and with an attorney about the sale agreement.

Not ready to sell, but tired of running the route? We also offer vending management, where we service your machines and you stay the owner. For local numbers, see our vending market reports for Austin and Round Rock.
